International Insurance
International Patient Service accepts the payment for medical care supported by a guarantee of payment from various International Insurance Companies, if it is established by your health insurance. Private payment and Isapre (private local health system) are accepted as well.
If you want to coordinate your international insurance for Programmed Outpatient Care (medical appointments, exams, and outpatient procedures), you must contact through the International Patient Service/ SaludExpats sending an E-mail to pacienteinternacional@alemana.cl or saludexpats@alemana.cl.
It is suggested to program appointments with at least 3 – 5 business days notice, that way your insurance company will have enough time to send the guarantee of payment for the day of your appointment.
Ways to manage your international insurance:
- Patient requests his/her guarantee of payment directly to the insurance company. International Patient Service receives the guarantee of payment prior his/her medical appointment and bills the insurance Company directly. The patient will pay the deductible indicated in the guarantee of payment at the moment the service is provided, if it is needed. If the guarantee of payment has not arrived at the moment of his/her medical appointment is provided, the patient must pay for the service and with the insurance Company afterwards.
- International Patient Service/Saludexpats request your guarantee of payment: We will coordinate the medical attentions and will also request the guarantee of payment to your insurance company, for this process we require at least 3 – 5 working days notice. The patient will pay the deductible indicated in the guarantee of payment at the moment the service is provided, if it is needed. If the guarantee of payment has not arrived at the moment of his/her medical appointment is provided, the patient must pay for the service and with the insurance Company afterwards.
